So, last night, I see someone advertising in trade for more folk for Vashj. On asking whether they planned to kill the other bosses (since it's Karathress I'm interested in for a T5 leg token to try and complete that old set), I was told they'd already cleared the rest of the instance - oh well!

And then a bit later, I saw someone asking for people for Tempest Keep. Which I duly volunteered for, since I was at the stage of the Ashtongue chain where you need to kill Al'ar while disguised as one of the Ashtongue Deathsworn. Fortunately, the group's leader was doing the same thing, so pulling Al'ar was a given (given that it's admittedly a popular one to skip).

After a quick /ravote it was then agreed we'd skip on Void Pinata and the High Astromancer, and just poke Kael'thas. A chance at the T5 chest - the other bit I'm missing!

And we downed Kael (despite a couple of ill-timed deaths). My initial scan of the loot was sort of 'meh' - two sorts of tokens, but not the hunter one.

And then I notice the first item he dropped... [Ashes of Al'ar].

Never even thought I'd see one of those drop, far less go on to win it...


As a surprise bonus, I went on to get a new title, as six of us went on to poke Hyjal, which got me the phylactery drop from Rage Winterchill; evidently having gotten at least Vashj's vial pre-3.0 was enough to keep me on the original quest chain...


To say I am rather happy would be an understatement...
