1) What is your character's name?

Geenome. It used to be Detaur, but I was a tauren in a past life.


2) Are you a tank, damage dealer, or healer?

Tank. By far what I'm best at. My damage gear really needs an upgrade and I could do with some dpsing experience under my belt.


3) Why do you like doing what you answered above more than the others? (E.g. why do you like being a damage dealer the most?)

I just like being the center of attention. What can I say? I'm a glutton for punishment.


4) Is this character your main and how many level 80 alts do you have (or are intending to have?)

This is my only lvl 80. I might bring my paladin or priest up to 80 at some point but that is far down on my to-do list.


5) How long have you been on the Earthen Ring server?

On and off since I started playing wow. Was my first server and for some reason I keep coming back.


6) If you could only keep one talent in your spec which would it be, and why?

Threat of Thassarian. I like dual wielding. Nuff said.


7) Tell us about one of your favourite Warcraft memories so far.

The Leeroy Jenkins video still gets a giggle out of me now and then. Does that count?


8) Who have you raided with before us, and why did you leave them?

I've been with a bunch of raid guilds while I've been travelling the servers but my last one was Roflcopter. I disagreed with the old boy system they seemed to be running and ended up leaving the server. I'm now in Voice of the Forest. Great bunch.


9) If you could go back in time and give yourself one tip about your current class, what would it be?

Find Tankspot sooner. That would have saved me a lot of trouble.


10) What is the spell hit cap?

Shouldn't I be focusing more on def cap? That's 602 currently.


11) What is your favourite 5-man instance?

ToTC. It's different and I like the music.


12) Name one of your PVE weaknesses. Be honest.

Sometimes I lose my focus and end up making total rookie mistakes. The type that get you talked about around the water cooler for a week.


13) Name one of your favourite movie comedies.

I'd say Orgasmo if I'm looking for some cheap laughs, but I ain't picky. Most things get a giggle out of me.

14) Are you willing to speak on Ventrilo?

I would, but I'd have to fork out for a new mic first.


15) How cool are you at handling multiple wipes? Do you have the patience?

I'm a multiple wipe machine! Seriously though if we wipe, we wipe. I just get annoyed when all the accusations start flying.


16) What is the hardest/craziest achievement you've earned in the game?

I haven't got any crazy ones, but I do want to get Insane in the Membrane at some point. Oh and I am doing Loremaster right now, which as a DK is a pain cause I've got to do 1400 quests in classic from scratch. 348 down though!


17) Are you free to raid, without interruption, between 19:30 and 23:30 server time on the days that we raid?

It depends when I'm in work. I do an 8 day week, so as long as raids fall on the 4 days I'm not in work I'll be available.


18) Which superhero power would you rather have - the ability to fly or turn invisible?

Fly. When all else fails: save yourself!


19) Have you done every heroic instance in WotLK? If not, why not?

Done all and get the heroic achievements for all except for two in Halls of Frost instances.


20) What is the last book you read?

Gathering Storm. Massive Wheel of Time fan.


21) Where did you find out about WMD and why did you apply to us?

Nobble told me. Well from what I could make out from what he told me. I can't understand the guy sometimes.

My mistake. I thought it meant what my score was. I know the cap is at 540 like.

Just thought I should mention that the idea of the question is to check the applicants knowledge of a mechanic that may or may not be interesting for them, and it's not as if the spell-hit cap is irrelevant for Death Knights

Aye. the spell hit question is just to test if people are reasonably informed about obscure gameplay mechanics!

Anyway, thanks for your application. I was waiting a few days to see if anybody else would comments before I responded, but it seems like they don't need to.

Although a DK tank would be great, we already have a standby Gnome tank with slightly better gear than you. Your gear is good, but not probably wouldn't survive hard modes, which is our primary focus.

I like your application, it sounds like you could fit in with us, but at the present time WMD doesn't need another reservist tank. I'll keep my eye on this application if something changes over the next month, and wish you luck finding a different group in the meantime.
